La Ferrata is located just outside of Rome in Tivoli. This is a wonderful place to spend a weekend. We stayed at this Agriturismo with a large group of friends and had a great time. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the people who ran the place really made you feel at home. The food and wine were great and plentyful. This is a great place to bring the children as there is plenty of space for the kids to run free.
La Tana dell'Istrice
La Tana dell'Istrice, the Porcupine's Lair, is a farm on the border of northern Lazio near Umbria, 18 kilometers from Orvieto and 100 kilometers from Rome. This medieval manor house has been converted into a hotel with seven rooms and two suites, all with air conditioning and wireless internet access. There's a swimming pool and restaurant and the entire property is non-smoking.

The agriturismo is in Genzano di Roma, near Lake Nemi, about 30 kilometers southeast of Rome.
Fontana del Papa
Fontana del Papa, the Pope's Fountain, offers bed and breakfast and cooking classes on a farm in the countryside north of Rome. Nicely furnished rooms are in a restored 16th century farm house where guests can also use the living and dining rooms. There's a swimming pool, garden, and patio. Transportation can be arranged from Fiumicino airport or the Civitavecchia train station or port.
